DESIGN REVIEW BOARD:
The purpose of the Design Review Board is to review the exterior design of new buildings and structures, the alteration of buildings and structures, landscaping plans, signs, and proposed demolition of structures, within the Historic Overlay District, in order to ensure that new development is compatible with the surrounding environment, and to preserve and protect the historic character of the Town of Jerome.
PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION:
The Planning and Zoning Commission undertakes Planning and Zoning activities as set forth in the Town’s Zoning Ordinance, including formulating and administering the Town’s General Plan; conducting public hearings as needed; making recommendations to Council regarding zoning districts, regulations, and Conditional Use permits; and reviewing preliminary and final site plans.
BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT:
The Board of Adjustment hear and decides appeals in which it is alleged there is an error in an order, requirement or decision made by the zoning administrator in the enforcement of the zoning ordinance, and hears and decides appeals for variances from the terms of the zoning ordinance if, because of special circumstances applicable to the property, the strict application of the zoning ordinance will deprive such property of privileges enjoyed by other property of the same classification in the same zoning district.
